In MIPH/PPH, prolapsed internal hemorrhoidal mucosa is positioned within the stapler. Controlled compression is applied before firing. The circular knife resects a circumferential ring of tissue while the staple rows create the staple line. The procedure aims to reposition prolapsing hemorrhoidal tissue while creating a circumferential staple line.
